Lecture "Only Women in Space" at the "Cosmonautics Day. From Earth to the Stars" festival ✨ They say cosmonautics is a harsh, male-dominated field. And that's largely true: there aren't many women in this field, but they do exist! You'll learn about the role of women in the development of cosmonautics and those who contributed to its development. We'll discuss female cosmonauts, research institute employees, and even the leaders of Mars missions. We'll begin with NASA programmer Margaret Hamilton, who played a key role in landing astronauts on the moon, continue with Galina Balashova, one of the main designers of Soviet spacecraft, then with Anna Kikina's flight to the ISS, and conclude with astronaut Christina Koch's lunar flyby.
