One of the most renowned science popularizers, Vladimir Surdin, is coming with two lectures that will make you look at the Universe in a new way. 🌍 "Space Threats to Earth." Earth is not isolated. All around us are asteroids, comets, solar flares, and other phenomena capable of affecting the fate of our planet. In this lecture, we will explore: - which space dangers are truly real - what may happen in the future - and how humanity can protect itself. 🪐 "We must penetrate the cosmic underground!" Where should we look for life beyond Earth, and where might the first extraterrestrial bases be built? The most promising places are caves on Mars, planetary moons, asteroids, and comets. Why caves? • protection from space radiation • stable temperature • high humidity and possible presence of water Caves have already been discovered on Mars, but they remain unexplored so far — we simply don’t have robotic cavers.
